I just put my old computer on a new monitor so I could use my new computer with my old setup (the new monitor is a bit cheaper than the old, as this is just my backup/guest computer now). But, where I had a 4:3 monitor to game on, now I'm limitted to a 16:9, and it makes games look really wierd since most dont apt for widescreen support.
What I'm wondering is (using the Radeon x1950 Pro), is it possible to have my screen shrink down to a 4:3 aspect ratio (in other words, have black bars on the sides of the screen, much like when watching a widescreen movie on a 4:3 TV) during events which call for a 4:3, and use the wide screen during the rest of the time I use the computer?
Or am I going to have to choose between manually swapping down to 4:3 for games or keeping the widescreen for other functions?
