Most SATA laptop drives are still SATA 150. Even the ones that are 3.0Gb/s, thats not anywhere near the actual transfer rate you get. Theoretically you can get up to 384MBps, however you generally dont get any more then 100-150MBps on a 7200RPM desktop hard drive.yea, sata transfer rates are 3.0gb/s, pretty darn fast
