There are spaces for jumpers on the back of the SATA drives.kof2000 said:all my maxtor satas and any other brands i have have doesnt have any sort of jumpers. the only problem u might have is if you actually used any of their drivers for sata2 installed on the drive and then trying to use it on a sata1 mobo.
