Semi-budget concious gaming build

I am looking to spend around $900 for a pretty good gaming set up, here is the build I have come up with. I am a first time builder so any tips/feedback/suggestions would be helpful!

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Storage: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
Optical Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Burner

After promos and mail in rebates the total price for this build on newegg comes to $834. What do you guys think?

Eevrything looks good, but, where's the OS? That alone will add atleast $100 for windows 7 home basic, make sure to get 64bit.

not good at all. 2 parts there ruin it. for the case, you need something that is not coolermaster. You can get a NZXT switch 210 for 20 less and get the same features. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146075. The motherboard is frankly a POS. Get something from Gigabyte, a U3h or UDH3 for only slightly more than the Extreme4. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128544 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128543.

Thats your opinion, not facts. There's nothing wrong with Asrock, or the Cooler Master case.

Edit: You be on Gigabyte waay to much, enough with the fanyboy stuff. Every post that deals with PC upgrades/builts you come on and put Gigabyte on a peddle stool, and down grade all the rest, not cool.

have you used either one? I use them both daily, and know for sure you can get far better. The ASrock board once you update to BIOS 2.0 will not OC stable at all. Not even to the stock turbo mode. The case is paying too much for a limited feature set and quite frankly bad build quality.

Ok, you deal with them daily, and? Have you thought maybe you got a defective motherboard? Oh, thats right, every Asrock board is defective, right?

Edit:And of course there's always a better option available, if you have the money.

Fine, w/e, but it is pointless to buy it for 119 when you can get a Gigabyte and have leagues better quality for 130.

The 912 is a waste of money for a poor quality product.

Idk why people complain about the cheaper motherboards. My biostar is fine and Im buying another. You cant judge a brand by 1 defective product.

2 defective product. this one is one gotten from RMA.

Maybe they sent back the same MoBo because it wasent defective, but just human error(you).

Edit: Nuff said. OP, the built you have there will serve you well, just make sure to get an OS(64bit). GL!

no. Numbers don't match. And the capacitor was blown. But w/e. Your defending a piss poor company just like vista defends Asus. If he wants to get it, that is just fine. Be it known that it has issues and don't update the BIOS. He has a right to know that it has issues before he waste good money on it.

HAF 912 is a great budget case. Case frequently is matter of opinion in terms of looks but that would be a good choice. From what I've heard Gigabyte is a good board maker. Wolfe may have gotten boards of a defective batch but generally they seem to be decent boards.

Im on about the extreme 4 not the gigabytes.

And it is not a good budget case as you can get the same features for $20 less from NZXT. After shipping that is $50 vs $70.

Build looks fine to me.
I see no problems with the case or the mobo.
And I've built a friends computer with that mobo, so i have used it. Still no complaints from him.

No! Im not "defending a piss poor company", im defending a good company that everyone including youself puts down for no-reason(1 defective board don't count). Every company has bad batches, including the top manufactures, Asus, EVGA, MSI and YES, Gigabyte.

And if there soo unreliable like you said, why do you own both, Cooler Master 912 and Asrock Z77 MoBo? Why did you get the Asrock when "you can get a Gigabyte and have leagues better quality for 130", like you said. Same with the case, "The 912 is a waste of money for a poor quality product." Just because you had bad experience with both doesn't mean someone else will. FYI, the NZXT 210 is NOT $20 cheaper, it's only $5 cheaper. The only thing that the NZXT 210 offers over the Cooler Master is that it's painted black on the inside and has one USB 3.0 on the front. The Cooler Master 912 comes with removable dust filters on the bottom and front, side mounted bays(which are removable), and SSD drive support(x2).

If you did not know, Asrock is made by ASUS, which by the way is one of the top MoBo manufactures out there. Which IMHO is "leagues" better then Gigabyte.

Not sure about the motherboard, but I did a build for a guy with a 912 not 3 hours ago and I had no complaints. Fit all the cables behind the motherboard tray, fans were good, SSD slot. No problems what so ever.

1. You cant count. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146075 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&Tpk=haf 912 and given I overestimated shipping, but that still does not cover the gap.

2. Asus is not leagues better. If you have a problem with Gigabyte, you get same day support in most cases. Getting any support from ASrock or Asus is like pulling a tooth from a dam lion with no sedation. I bought this board cause it was cheap and Supposed to be good. Not as good as it was supposed to be. I would not have any issue though if the BIOS updates did not can the OC ability of the board.

3. the 912 looks good on paper. That is all. The design has little above the cheaper cases. I do not care about the colour inside. Spray paint can fix that. But it does not help create space behind the mobo plate for cables, not make a higher quality HD audio connector that just pulls apart. Dust filters are fine. Also, needs to be a little shorter from front to back as the front fans will not reach the mobo connectors, thus running at 100% only and making it louder.

I do believe they make extenders.

3. The 912 is not worth the price. It is a cheaply built and designed case. And has not enough room for the cables where it should. Your welcome to buy it if you want, but you can get the same thing cheaper, and be warned that it is not all it is cracked up to be.

and yea. if your running Cf just look for a board with 2 PCIe x16 slots with at least x8 bandwidth.

like he said, reviews are only as good as the user.

i will believe him if he have professional background about computers, other wise i will never rely on his recommendation just because he's a fanatic for a certain brand.

@TS personally your build is good enough for gaming, or you can ask around in other forums for more inputs.

So we should spend more on top of the $60 we put out on the case just to get basic functionality. I hardly think so.

When you posted the pics of it, you rammed all your cables behind the tray. Some simple organization would fix that.
Organization is pert near impossible in it. There is only so much you can do with the limited space. The 24 pin only is still quite tight in there.
