You gotta do it in the BIOS.
800MHz or 800MHz DDR? They are very different, the first being the right speed and the second being 1/2 of the right speedI set it to manual and the highest it would let me go is 800mhz
Cant figure out how to get my ram to run at 1600mhz which it should. Specs in my Sig. I e-mailed Gskill but, you guys can prob help me out.
I know that but, the max it goes is 800mhz
Its DDR man. 800mhz X 2 = 1600
Looks fine, just make sure the voltage and timing is set at what ever its suppost to be at 1600. Some boards have the bios set at the DDR speed and some like your has it set at the real speed. DDR3 1600 really runs at 800mhz.
DDR can send or receive data on the rise and fall of the clock cycle. So running at 800mhz, its effective speed is 1600. Like my DDR2 1066 really runs at 533mhz.
