For cable internet it's pretty high, usually cable is <15ms at least with Comcast around here. I tested from NH to the Hartford, CT server and even got 15ms lol
Work speeds this morning. Charter Business.

Reminds me when I saw Google Fiber speeds of 900Mbps+So two of my friends are rooming together in college. And this is their speed over ethernet in their dorm room.
If the ping is 1ms part of me thinks that they are testing against their own school's server, meaning it may just be limited by the LAN and not so much that they could download from the web at that speed.
How would Speed test be doing that?

You can host your own server on speedtest.net, it's just the 1ms ping that makes me think it's a local server at his own university that's hosting it. On a fiber connection at work between our two sites only 10 miles apart or so the ping is around 5ms.
