So my PC is a older HP PC and is veerryyy slllloooooow (HP compaq dc7900 small form factor) , I want to buy a new one but I'm not allowed to buy one (my mom :/), I want to upgrade it for games and all but nope I'm not allowed , what should I do?

What are the current specs as far as what processor and how much ram is installed. Also what version of windows is it running?

If your mum wont pay for you to have a new one or pay for an upgrade, even a RAM upgrade will cost money, there aint a lot you can do cept start saving your pocket money.

Windows7 , 2GB ram , Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E 8400 ,32 bit , Intel(R) Q45/Q43 Express Chipset (I have my own money , even tho i save it with my sister ....)(my mom thinks that this PC is enough , i tried cleaning the PC but it's still slow asf

You need more ram. The problem is that it takes DDR2 which is crazy expensive for what little performance increase you'll get. Also its possible if you still have an older hard drive, its probably time to replace it for a faster model.

What size hard drive do you have? How old is it? If its an 80gb drive, its an old model and somewhat slow. You need more ram installed is the first thing, you only have 2gb and need at least 4gb or more. But as I said, DDR2 is quite expensive for what you'll get out of it. And since you have utorrent installed hopefully you aren't installing any illegal software. You don't need it running on bootup, disable it. Uninstall java unless you really need it. Until you get more ram or another computer, you should uninstall Avast as it will slow your system down with no little memory. You can use the built in windows defender I suppose.

142 GB one , and I install over utorrent games (Xenoverse, why would I ever do something illegal im 12)

and cough cough my mom wont ever allow me to buy RAM or smthing

149 GB oops

I need java for games (minecraft , ect.)

Then if you can't buy anything, then you are out of luck. Still the 149 gb drive would be a 160 gb drive and is just about as slow as an 80 gb.

I personaly never got lucky , only time I got lucky is when I went to the mail place thing , and I got a old phone (it was new manifactured , but a old model)

and I want to learn coding , I need a better pc

well , I have save ups's but (i live on balkan) , BUT NO YOU WONT WASTE UR MONEY ON PC'S BLAH BLAH BLAH , NAG NAG NAG

it also take's me FIVE SECONDS to load in chrome (before it took me about 2 seconds) , it takes a minute to load in upon loading windows (it shows windows and stuff , but I can't open anything till it doesn't ''load''

Couple of things. McCarefree may be a problem. I say may. You might want to try Bitdefender Free. Uninstall Mccarefree.


I've read uTorrent packing a Bitcoin miner and it looks like you let uTorrent run in the task bar. I would uninstall it and use something older. I use version 3.2.2. You can get an older version at oldapp.com or oldversion.com. Or you can try a different torrent client.

This pc is COMPLETE garbage. I would not even waste your money upgrading this crap.

But, if you mom says no, than maybe we can salvage it to last a little longer. just dont be expecting to play video games. I would start this process by reinstalling windows. There are a lot of things online about how to do that. (keep in mind, that reinstalling windows will DELETE ALL DATA!!!!!!) So after you reinstall Windows 7 (or whatever version you want) than you still wont be able to game, but you should be able to start learning to code. I would start with some light HTML, or Python programs (or whatever language you want to learn) and you can look up some stuff online and just write out some simple code. other than that, the PC wont be able to do much. Like i said, upgrading this pc now is a giant WASTE of money. its just so old, that there is no hope. But reinstalling windows should put the computer to "Factory Speed" by removing all the junk, cached files, ETC. ya ya ya, there are ways to remove all that junk without reinstalling windows, but trust me, simply reinstalling windows is MUCH MUCH easier to do, than hunt for cached files and deleting them, and all that crap.

you need to figure out how to explain to your mom that your pc is CRAP, and you cant do educational things like coding on it, because it is too slow!!!!!
