So I ordered 4Gb of ram from an online retailer and it just arrived. But the sticks themselves aren't as tall as a normal ram stick.
The ram is:
800Mhz DDR2
240 pin
and its made by Kingston.
The model number is:
KVR800D2N6K2
Now I have never seen shorter ram before... I mean it looks like a normal stick except it seems like the rest of the pcb around the chips has been compressed.
Is this just something Kingston has done to save on manufacturing costs? Or is this ram for a different use?
It would be sort of hard for me to find a desktop I can test it in...
Anyone come across this sort of ram before?
