And I find out there's a 60-80% off sale. So i pick me up an:

Acer Aspire Desktop PC (Vista Home Premium 32bit)
Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.40Ghz Q6600
HDD = 500Gb
Memory = 3gb
Graphics Card = ATI Radeon HD 2400 256mb
Mouse & Keyboard

All for only $420. Do you guys think it was a good buy or not. This is my first multi-core system so i dont know its potential as of yet.

WOW, INCREDIBLE deal, if you dont want it yourself to use, you can just sell that sucker for maybe around 600 once that sale ends.

Run everest home edition on it and find out exactly what hardware parts are in there. It should ID the manufacturer and chipsets of your motherboard, video card, so on and so forth.

Good deal though IMO, and that processor is worth half of what that cost and there is no such thing as a generic intel processor.

ok thing is can i play Crysis, UT3 and Cod4 with that graphics card.

I don't think you coud play them near smooth. Best thing to do if you have a budget is get a HD3850/HD3870, but if you don't necesarily have a budget, get yourself a good 8800GT/GTS (512MB) or even the HD3870X2!

If you want a good card but don't want to break up your wallet, go with a 3870 or 9600GT...

That's a killer deal, too bad we don't have a MicroCenter, CompUSA, etc. around here... That sounds like something I would buy...

How much did everything run you individually?

It was a prebuilt computer that caught my eye under a shelf at compusa. And saw the Intel quad logo on it.

The desktop, mouse & keyboard is what i got only.

I think the CompUSA near me is already closed. They had their "Going out of business" sale a while ago.
