4850 beats them both though. and for $194 on newegg and better energy efficiency its the best choice.

Actually, the GTX 260 performs very close to HD4870, and it is better than HD4850

Interesting, very interesting. I think the HD 4870x2 is supposed to come in a 2GB (all supported and used from the BUS) variety, so I am choosing to stick with that. I think that now that I know my computer will be running fine (and very, very fast), this thread can be closed now. Thanks for the input everyone!
