Yeah he's not playing FSX, he's playing FS 2004 which was FSX's predecessor.

FS 2004 shouldn't be too CPU hungry.

I haven't setup a ramdisk on purpose in over a decade.

I'm going to try this now with a Steam game or two.

Yeah all it does is automate the CPU affinity. Meaning you can tell certain cores to run the game. It doesn't actually make the coding multi-threaded.

However some people have seen some reasonable improvements. Worth benchmarking.

May I ask why 2004 when FSX is available?

I have both FSX Deluxe and FS2004 ACOF. I mainly play FS2004 as it is a 26GB install. I have a lot invested in it.
