socket 479?

i remember somebody made an extra hole on the slots but at newegg i saw 3 socket 479 mobos but when i checked the cpus there arent any 479 cpus so does that means it takes 478 cpus? :)

no the 479's are the pentium-m's
as in mobile pentiums, as in not p4 s478s
 
lol pentium m's are rather expensive. that's why they made the celeron m. What's the performance difference between those two?

so much that its beyond explanation. clock for clock its like comparing the best amd to the worst intel.

socket 479 are for pentium M's while socket 479 are for pentium 4's (before the socket T or lga775 came out)

A huge difference. The p-m are fantistic processors, and when topping they beat all current p4s and amd64s

i think you made a typo there, the second 479 should read 478
