i remember somebody made an extra hole on the slots but at newegg i saw 3 socket 479 mobos but when i checked the cpus there arent any 479 cpus so does that means it takes 478 cpus?

no the 479's are the pentium-m's
as in mobile pentiums, as in not p4 s478s

socket 479 are for pentium M's while socket 479 are for pentium 4's (before the socket T or lga775 came out)

A huge difference. The p-m are fantistic processors, and when topping they beat all current p4s and amd64s

i think you made a typo there, the second 479 should read 478
