Split movie on 2 discs?

I have a file on my computer that is to big for the dvd disc's I have. I dont want to go out and buy 8.5gb discs I rather just split this file onto 2 disc's. Can I do this easily on any program or is it just not worth it? I looked back at the file and it is just over six minutes too big. I am thinking some how I can cut out just enough time so it can fit. Whats would be my best option. I have nero and windows dvd maker, All that stock crap windows 7 came with.

Try the Dual Layer or Double Layer DVDs and burn it with NERO.

do you have any dvd file converters? you could make it a little bit lower quality and it should fit

well he can create a iso with it,mount it and use an DVDx 2.2 and RIP it to AVI...
if its a moie that we ar5e talking about that was copied to the computer without being compressed...
next time use DVD shrink 3.2...
