Ok, so this is only my second build.
My first one was easy enough. Assemble components, burn Linux ISO file to Disk put in Cd drive, and shazam, Linux OS came up with option to install. Now on my second build with the parts bellow.
Assembled fine, insert windows 7 disk, and nothing. Try to use same Linux install disk I used on my first build, again, nothing. I'm really confused as to why the software is not booting up. Can someone help.
-I have set CD drive to 1st boot position.
-When system boots up this shows up
"marvell 88se91xx adaptor - bios version 1.0.0.1027
pcie x 1.58GBps
mode: passthru IDE
Disk Information:
No hard disk is detected!"
But my Hard drive is shown in the BIOS.
And now that i have fought with it for hours, and I look at the OS i purchased. Is it an OS? What is OEM? Especially with this in the product description
"Use of this OEM System Builder Channel software is subject to the terms of the Microsoft OEM System Builder License. This software is intended for pre-installation on a new personal computer for resale. This OEM System Builder Channel software requires the assembler to provide end user support for the Windows software and cannot be transferred to another computer once it is installed. To acquire Windows software with support provided by Microsoft please see our full package "Retail" product offerings."
AGH, please tell me i didn't screw up when at the checkout lane!
