Supernova, for your p2p ports and stuff, did you buy an extension for radioshack (or another store) and mounted it on the side of the case?

Day 7

Ok i used by handdrill to drill holes in the lid of the case and mounted a fan on it. It's an 80mm fan and it blows outwards.

update, i have the two speaker mounted to the lid :D I'm not gonna take a pic of the speaker cause everyone's speakers are diff.
 
Ohh. Well I plan to eventually go totally USB, so I really haven't put much thought it mounting PS2 ports. Right now I'm just using old PS2 stuff I had lying around. There's no cover yet so they're just plugged right in. I still need to mount the USB ports on the outside. I'll have 4 on the outside. I'll figure something out for the two inside ports.
I was thinking maybe of getting somethink like this for once the cover is finished:

Maybe not that expensive, but something similar.

I have however mounted a network port on the back. And the power cord attaches from the outside. There is also an extra power outlet on the back.
I'm sorry I haven't made pictures yet. I just haven't had the chance.

Update

Bad news and good news.

Good news: I have the motherboard mounted.
Bad news: Computer turn's on but nothing displays through the monitor :mad:Help anyone?
 
Is the video integrated or on a PCI card?

If it's PCI make sure it's in good. Same goes for the CPU and RAM.

Also make sure they actually work and are good parts.

Connect a hard drive with an OS on it, or a floppy drive with a boot floppy to the board and see if it attempts to boot from it. If it does then it is probably a video problem. If it doesn't then it's not doing anything and that's a CPU, RAM or motherboard problem.

Also do you have power to this connector?

problem one: I have no way of varifying if the parts work. I know they worked when they were in the pc but I have no extra parts lying around to test it.

Problem two: (its integrated video) i have already tried with my old pci fx5500 and the same thing happens.

btw...the cpu and everything else heats up but I dono if that proves anything -.-

edit: oh yeah, yes i did connect that power connector you circled.
 
please somebody help!! I double checked that all jumper settings are correct, I pluged in an opitcal mouse and it lights up.
 
I say reseat everything. Also make sure you aren't setting this motherboard on a metal surface when you're turning it on.

done all those already, the motherboard is sitting on 9 hollow plastic columns which is screwed to a woodenboard. I'm guessing eaither the motherboard or the cpu is broken but I dono which. I think I will just buy a new set, i mean they're like 15 bucks lol.
