...For a new laptop! :)

The one I use now, works still, but their is a lot of latency, since it is a single core.

Basically, I need it to run ONLY a program/hardware called "Serato" The specs for it are as follows, but I would like a laptop above and beyond the min specs :) :

I would like to stay windows... but would go over to mac as well...

is a refurbished laptop not a good idea?

My budget is anything... the lower the better, but I wouldn't run from an expensive laptop. It just needs to work with Serato. Would like a 15.4" screen but would go smaller... Need it to be compact for road trips and such. Dosn't need a Huge hard drive, as My external holds all of my music. and would prefer to stay away from AMD processors.

Those 2 you linked will run that software. :)

As for refurbished laptops, I wouldn't want to get one mainly because you don't know the condition of the laptop or if it has viruses or what not.

ya cohen, just for Serato :)

I'm liking that HP one jnskyliner34, would it be worth getting two extra gigs to put into it? err, 2 - 2gig sticks of ram?

Tuffie, really? Serato is industry standard now, haha. All the clubs I play at always have it, or the Rane TTM 57 with serato built into the mixer :) Such a wicked program/hardware, But I only use it with vinyl... Cds are gay :P
