Hello Everyone!

I recently wrote up a review of this computer on my blog and I wanted to share it with you and ask for your feed back.

I also made some recommendations as to where to buy it because Apple always over charges on their site.

i think they are stupid - ok they are the world's thinnest notebook but big deal!

I would spend less for a mac book pro and it has everything it in! and it has the same features a mac book air! with the fingers etc...

So i would not recommend it to anyone!

Edit - Having a look at prices... on the review - is that US $$$???
 
the lack of a optical drive just turned me off. shame. and mac's are overpriced, that's why i don't like 'em.
 
i like the macbook pro. i hate the price. :P

i'd love to dual boot a macbook pro with vista and play games on it.

right... and the mac book pro isn't??? the mac book pro is easier!!! if the mac book air was for the on the go business person and they needed to play a DVD... they can't because they need to plug the extra (more $$$$$) to play a DVD.... once again the macbook pro wins!
 
I went to 3G on the 13th of may (just last wednesday) To pick up a couple of accersories for my MacBook Pro but when I compared my specs to that it was just un-real.

My MacBook Pro/ Macbook Air
2.5GHz C2D Penryn / 1.8GHz C2D
2GB 667MHz/2GB 667MHz
Nvidia 8600M GT 512MB SDRAM/Intel GMA 950 256MB
250GB 5400RPM / 64GB Solid state drive
Super Drive / None + 99 For external
Mac OS 10 Leopard / Mac OS 10 Leopard
17'' Matte 1680x1050 / 13.3'' Glossy Display

Total : 2,499Euro / 3,000Euro or 3,100Euro with super drive

But if your a business person I would say get the MacBook Air.

The Pro is for people like me who does lots of multi-media film/video making and photoshop and gaming and for those business people that do that genre.

And if you need ultra portability Adopt a PowerBook G4 12'' off ebay plus it has a super drive and most likely is faster than the MacBook Air or even an iBook G4
 
The macbook air was created as a styling and marketing exercise. No one needs a laptop that's completely compromised for the sake of half a cm or something.

It's cool though, looks smart, would no doubt run silently with a solid state drive - rich folk will buy them for that, as mobile internet for their London apartments.

Why would you say that? This computer serves a purpose. Just like the Toyota Prius serves a purpose. Its not the best looking, fastest, or most powerful car, but it does require alot less gas and can travel alot farther then a mustang or a escalade.


It was created with the business person in mind. I believe it was more geared toward business women then men, because by and far women don't usually use all the neat little functions, Gigs, RAM, and other things that men OR people who do use the computer for video, gaming, or anything else that does require a high output of power.

Yes there are more powerful notebooks out there.

But if you travel alot and use your notebook for storing info and running office related programs with some basic audio/ video apps, then this IS the ideal computer for you.

SpaceVT- it was a nice review i'd have to say. There is a few spelling errors and all but w/e, nice job.
