Awesome, can't wait to read some reviews when it starts to ship.

Why the hell have Intel made the I3 a Dual core?
They will sell, of course they will but would you guys buy a Dual core again?
Makes no sense whatsoever!...
If they are socket 1156 or w/e that crap is you can get the i3 and upgrade to an i5 or i7 later on
this hyperthreading keeps coming up, how does this help you?

Its virtual cores, not actual cores. It basically allows to threads to be executed at the same time.It makes the chips better at doing multiple tasks, it effectively makes a single core act as 2 cores, 2 slower cores, but 2 cores, so on systems which can use multiple cores, which is just about every OS now, it makes it quicker, so with a dual core processor that has HT, you are looking at what is sort of a quad core.
And I can see who would buy it...meI can't afford an i5 or i7 what with only being able to work part time around my full time education and saving up for useful stuff. If they trump the AMD chips, I may have to rethink my planned future build, because budget is everything for me, as I am sure it is with many others who can't get the newest stuff that hits the shelves the moment it hits the shelves and has to think of future proofing their system in the cheepest way
perhaps intel should have made the i3 a tripple core?
Intel doesn't sell their defective chips.![]()
Yeah obviously, they are still dual cores, with more cache and better architecture. Should perform at about E8xxx speed
Intel with all these i3/i5/i7 and i9, talk about a mess.
