Hi,
I really do hope someone could provide some insight in to my issue.
I recently bought an used "geforce 6800 GS Xtreme AGP card (256mb)" to replace my "ati 9200 se (128mb)".
The new card works for sure (and i love its looks
I can play Testdrive unlimited using the 6800 (with very low settings) which I couldn't play using my old card (the screen would crash to desktop).
My problem really is when I play FIFA2005 (yeah, its old
). With my previous card, the game worked perfectly without a glitch. But to my amazement, the game keeps on losing frames (kind of a video drag) in every few seconds. It is so much strain on the eyes and the game enjoyment is totally gone.
I really have no idea why the 6800 which is way better can't play fifa perfectly. Also I couldn't find any game settings that could lower the resolution, framerate etc.
Any ideas guyz?
(please ask if you need any more information: I have a P4 3.0Ghz with 1.5gb of ram and 450watt power supply-----though the computer switches off every few hours for some reason; it doesn't get too hot, i have checked. But in anycase, that should be a different problem, which I hope to post in another thread).
