Upgrade Motherboard and CPU, Ram compatibility?

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, and surely I would have to update my mother board because it's old. My mother board in an Asus P5LD2 and it is not compatible with any quad core.
I'm looking to move up to to this combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1392846 and I need to know if the motherboard Z87-G45-GAMING is compatible with my ram and video card. My ram is DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 (non-ECC) and my video card in Nvidia 9800 gt. Yes my system is outdated lol
I have looked on MSI's website for this specific mother board and the compatibility list only shows that it is compatible with DDR3 rams, but I'm not sure if it would still take my old DDR2.
Also, what wattage of power supply would I need to run my new MB and CPU, and is there anything else that I need to take into consideration on this upgrade? Thank you for any help.

No it is not compatible with your older ddr2 ram, If you wanted to update to that new setup you would have to update your ram too, But ram is pretty cheap anyway.

Your video card will be compatible.

Thank you for the reply. It seems buying an entire new rig is the more cost effective method.

What is your model of power supply and how old is it ?

It's an HEC ACE 580-UB, and it says it supports dual nvidia pce express, which might be a problem when I want to upgrade my card. and it's old, but in good condition.

Edit: Found the model number it is HEC-580-TD-TF

Ace is not a great brand, add to that the fact that it is old I would not use it to power what would be essentially a brand new system.

How about this really powerful system, but saving a fortune on budget.

Motherboard $85 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128577

That looks amazing. If that CPU is better than the viscera, why is it cheaper? Also, does AMD compare to intel in terms of quality and performance? I ave never used AMD.

I'm doing reading and everything says that the intei I5-3570k is substantially better than an amd, and for only 30$ more, it seems to be worth it.

The 3570k is the last generation ivybridge.

The comparison you linked is new haswell 4670k.

Yes the 2 cpu are very close, so it is really personal choice, the i5 maybe a hair better in certain areas but the difference would be so minimal you would not physically notice any difference when using the system, the 8350 is better in some areas but again minimal.

You would not be disappointed by either cpu
