My friend has a Dell, and he wanted to upgrade his ram from 512mb to 1 gb. I'm pretty sure it is PC3200, because thats what it says on his ram. Well we bought a 512mb PC3200 stick, and it was 1 pin off! His ram also has 333 on it, and PC2700 ram is 333mhz, so maybe it is PC2700. My question is, is there a 1 pin difference on the different speeds? If not, why is it off by one pin?
