I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 and recently upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7. It has a Intel Core 2 CPU @ T7200 @ 2Ghz. 2MB RAM and a 32-Bit Operating System. The Windows 7 upgrade was a godsend as many problems went away but I still have one big one that I need help with.
If I have both my e-mail (Thunderbird) and browser (Firefox) running at the same time for about 3-4 minutes my laptop starts bogging down. Then, if I start watching a YouTube video or whatever the laptop just freezes and I have to start closing things. I almost always have the Windows Task Manager up and running to watch what's happening and the freezing cooresponds to and is directly proportionate to CPU usage. I don't have Malware or a Virus and do all the stuff the techs tell you to do regarding clean-up. My thought is that there must be a setting in my operating system that needs to be changed/increased so my CPU usage comes down and stops bogging everything down.
I find it very hard to believe that this laptop will not support Windows 7 and that this should be happening. Someone please tell me what to do before I throw this thing out the window.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I'm all ears!
