Hi all,
I have a XFX 6800GT and have noticed that the temps are very, very high
For example, my computer has been on for about 2 hours, I have not been on ANY games, just MSN and browsing the net. But the GPU core has been running at 75*c and the ambient temp is 51*c (its been on 74*c-75*c the whole time, the temps are not fluctuating much). They have been like this since I have turned my computer on..... (This is not a one off it is always like this)
Now when I play a game the GPU temp reaches 105*c +... (the slowdown threshold is at 127*c).
I have been having some problems with my computer locking up to, which I think may be caused by these high temperatures. I have an Antec P180 which is a very nice, large case. I have 3 large fans in this case as well as one on the CPU and another one just above my graphics card. The heat sink on the card is clean and not covered in dust, neither is the fan, so why are the temps getting so hot and how can I lower them???
ADDED:
(Other temps are fine in the computer its just the card that’s getting hot)
