Hey,
I just bought a new computer (Acer Aspire e700), it came with,
Intel Core 2 Q6600 Quad 2.4GHz
2GB DDR2 Ram
Intel GMA X3000 w/ Dynamic Memory (Intel(R) G965 Express Chipset).
And its running on Vista.
Well I figured this would be great all I needed was a new video card to top this off, so I got a Sapphire X1950 Pro cause from what I read it was a good budget card. Well I got home setup the computer and noob that I am plugged the new card right in and tried running the driver disk, and i got back it could not detect any compatible software, so I read the manual and some online descriptions and decided to take out the card disable the intel one, plug in the X1950 again and try run driver disk, same problem again. so I tried to take out the X1950 card again but as it very crammed in the case i gave up, uninstalled the intel chip, restarted the computer, and the computer then finally picked up a 'VGA compatible Video Device', so I pop in the driver disk again, and still no recognition. So now i am just running the intel chip with the X1950 still sitting in the computer but not doing anything, also when i tried every combination of plugging the monitor to the video card plugs i only got "No Signal".
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, either just help or an explanation of how to install the card (because i can reset my computer to how it was when i first booted it up and so can start from scratch), and also any tips on getting the bloody video card out lol. (oh and the fan on the card does run when i turn on the computer)
Thanks in Advance for any help!
