sounds good, but make sure you got a microcenter around you, its only for in stores only. I found that out little late, sorry
You still need the ram, why dont you take a look at the one I suggested you. I dont know if you want to settle with that case though, but that's just up to you. Generally you want to have a case with good air flow for heat control
 
looks good. maybe upgrade the processor to i7 if you can afford it. don't skimp on the video card. and the real bottleneck these days is the harddrive, you're gonna want an SSD drive in a modern computer

Would not recommend going to an i7, since that will be another $100 taken out of your video card budget, most likely, which would result in worse fps.

You got a beast of a CPU with a weak video card. There is option for upgrades in the future, but if you downgrade to an i3, you can get a beefier video card.

And what power supply are you going to get?

And that case looks horrid. Would probably be a nightmare to build with that. Its $17 for a reason.

Power supply?Also, dont downgrade to a i3, and really dont upgrade to i7, (people who say i7 dont have much expierence at all, as their are many people who say dont get an i7 for gaming) but raise budget about $120 so you can get a HD 7770 for GPU.Than, get a better case from antec, cooler master, corsair.I reccomend a antec 100 on a budget of $50, so now you are $120 extra for some very signifagant upfrades.A antec 100 is a very nice case, normaly $75 but now $50 on newegg.The reson the price raised up a lot is because a GPU.That GPU is pretty bad, a 7770 would serriously beat the cheese out of a 6670.

I don't think he will need that great of a card. Assuming he means things like facebook games or the like. The original build was a FX4100 and hd6850, so he could probably still use the 6850 and be great for anything.
