What Browser To Use?

The best browser is the one that fits your needs. If it has everything you need then use that one.Do not use some The Best Browser just because many people like it lol.Just use The One that is good to You.The hell with others lol.
+1
I've tried all of the "big 5" browsers: IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera

IE is the "template" browser, IMO. Nothing great, nothing too bad.

I used to use Firefox as my main browser. I like it because it's run by Mozilla, which is non-profit. IMO, it's the "toolbox" browser. You can get a lot of different toolbars, and it's very much a browser for those that like to do all the nerdy stuff with their browser. I recommend that you download Firefox 4 beta. It might fix your crashing problem:

Chrome is the what I consider to be the best browser when it comes to interface usability. It's clean, customizable, and has features like sync, a built in pdf reader that's better than Adobe's, and an auto-updating built-in flash plugin. Ever since I got my CR-48, I've used Chrome.

Safari is Apple's IE. 'Nuff said.

Opera is another one of my favs. It's ridiculously sleek and fast, so if you want raw performance and basic, clean usability, get Opera.

Happy browser-comparing!:)

EDIT: just read your last post. I'm guessing that FF was crashing due to viruses. Download Avast:

Run a scan. If it asks you to do a boot-time scan, say yes. Make sure to register, schedule scans, and disable the sounds you don't want (eg. "avast updated!") If you already have a paid antivirus, then either update it or uninstall it. IMO, Avast is the best free antivirus, although I haven't tried Avira. If you have another free antivirus that you like, then it's your choice whether to switch to Avast.

Yup I have the same problem... which one to have as default. I don't like the flashing ad in the tool bar in IE...that says "Fix Your PC". Anyway of deleting it?

That flashing ad could be a plug-in or extension of some kind (maybe installed by third-party software). Below are some sources for removing plug-ins/ extensions:

If for some reason the ad is still there after trying to remove it then reinstalling IE may help.

Well I think I tried everything and nothings removing it. Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. This thing keeps flashing different colors and messages and is very annoying. I circled it in yellow.

Which antivirus program do you use? I listed a link to my favorite antivirus, Avast, in my previous post. I've seen viral add-ons similar to that before. If an antivirus scan doesn't remove it, then look through and delete the extension that looks to be the problem (which another poster said how to do). ;)

That "fix your PC" thing definitely looks like an add-on. I'm not too familiar with IE though, I thought those links I sent you would help remove it. Did you try reinstalling IE?

Yup tried a new install...I'm not going to bother with it any more. I'll just use Chrome. Chrome is very good. I will try Avast and see how it works.

I mostly use IE. I used AVG for years. I switched to MSSE and still doing good. I must ask you guys who ask about anti-virus. What are you doing? I have went years without anti-virus until I found AVG and never got a virus. What porn sites are you trolling on that this happens? I have a real suggestion, if something says click me don't do it.

The best anti-virus is common sense.

I am use Mozila Fire Fox Browser. Because It works with most of operating platform Mac OS X,like Linux, and Windows. This graphic browser provide a excellent selection of features. Firefox was the first to have start tabbed browsing. This browser also provide anti-phishing protection, integrated download management, live bookmarking, incremental find using the Firefox toolbar.

yes true but most people are having problems with firefox including me, Google chrome has better ratting score and its faster less problem. post people on here use chrome or ie.

I am so far pretty satisfied with Chrome... With that viral add-on thats in my IE...should I remove IE or leave it on my computer, also a question about Chrome.I have my home page set for Google, why is it when I click on the New Window or New Tab under the tools it goes to the Apps page? Can I change that so it goes to my home page?
