What is the fastest internal card reader?

I want to get an internal card reader for my SDHC cards. I am wondering if you get one of the eSATA ones, do you get the faster speeds when transferring off the cards, or is the SATA connection to the motherboard just for the eSATA port on the card reader?

You have to have firewire and or Esata port on the motherboard. thats sata 3 from what i understand. I have an external also. accepts 15 cards and internal sata 2. Don't see no diff. Its not like a HD. Heres the benchmarks if interested. Make sure you can support it on the motherboard.

Thanks for the reply. I understand you have to have a sata port on the motherboard. Since the internal card readers come with slots for multiple cards, USB ports, and and eSATA port on them, they also hook up to both a USB and a SATA connector on the motherboard. What I am wondering is, that by hooking to that SATA connector on the motherboard, is that just for the eSATA port that is on the card reader, or does that also connect the card slots, thus giving them the SATA speed rather than the USB 2.0 which the other connector is used for.
