Pentium III 450 -1999 HP 8556C - used this till 2005
Pentium 4 2.4 - 2002 (desktop original in a laptop ROFL) - still use this, but i get the feeling it will let go soon.
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ - 2004 first rig build
AMD Athlon XP 2200+ - 2005 second
Pentium 4 2.8 - 2007
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 @ 3.0 - 2008 - my current machine
Core 2 Duo T7250 2.0 (laptop) - 2008 - my new laptop

rofl, i got stuck with single cores for a loooong time. haha.

That must of been a bit of a jump from the 3200+ to the Q6600. :p

Since the Athlon 64 was OCd a good bit, normal OS use didn't get any faster but games increased and video encoding tripled in speed. The Celeron 333 to Athlon XP was a more noticeable jump.

what the hell is a cpu? I started on punch cards. Moved up to dual floppy drives (real floppy drives). One drive was for the OS/software, the other for data. Wish I still had that one actually. I was online for the first time with DOS based Prodigy.
