If by some miracle i sell my laptop for more than i paid for it, im thinking of getting this. Please feel free to post any comments or make suggestions on it. And my budget is around $1400-$1500 including shipping. And i already have a DVD Burner and a DVD-ROM Drive.

This is what i have so far:

CoolerMaster Centurion 5 Black/Silver Mid-ATX Aluminum Case - $55
Western Digital Caviar 250GB 7200RPM SATAII 16MB Cache - $95
Acer Black 19" 8ms 700:1 LCD - $236
Asus A8N-SLI Socket 939 nVidia nForce4 Motherboard - $113
BFG nVidia GeForce 7900GT-OC 256MB PCI-E - $329
Rosewill 20+/-4Pin 550W Power Supply +12V@36A - $65
Logitech Internet Pro Black Keyboard - $10
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse - $47
2x G.Skill 1GB DDR400 CL2.5 - $142
AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ - $295

Total including shipping is $1,456.92

I would stick with the ASUS A8N and just buy an additional chipset fan. (just in case) but it was just my bad luck me havin 2 mobo`s with bad chipset fans. The ASUS mobo`s are excellent !!! and deffently would get another ASUS in the future.

Ive also got that mobo, the hdd and the cpu all are really good... but i had the problem with the fan aswell, i actually made a post about it on this forum about a month ago. it didnt work at first but then after a day it just randomly started working and has been fine since.

the system looks really good.

Looks good. I would change the motherboard though, like people said. Do you really need SLi? You can buy a DFI Ultra-D for that price. Also, change the RAM for this, its only a bit more expensive and its DDR500.

I was thinking of getting that, but i really would like to get an SLI system in place.

EDIT: Realized that it was a 2GB kit, i will look into that.

geoff?? I'm assuming that meant omega.
Omega, didn't you say that that laptop retails for $2100 or something? How'd you get it so cheap?

hey, what if the chipset fan dies, can you replace it with new one and it will work ? or once it dies you need whole new mobo ? also can you give me url link where I can get that chipset fan ? which chipset fan do you have right now?

Im sure you can buy chipset fans on newegg, and it should be easy to replace. You just have to make sure that it doesnt stay on if the fan dies, causing your motherboard to "cook".
