Which card?

take your card and add maybe 3 frames a second to games on average, but in tight spots where lag starts, expect 1-2 more frames. they are really close performing cards.

Ill get your card if this card does not work out. New egg said that I can take it back w/o affecting my credit card, but I must put in 15% of what I paid to new egg :(

A 8600GT and 9500GT will probably only meet minimum specs for some of those upcoming games you mentioned, namely SC2 and Diablo 3.

Pay a little more and get a MUCH better experience. The 8800/9800GT would be an excellent choice and can max most games out today at decent resolutions (except Crysis, of course). If you like ATI/AMD, go for the 4830 if you're on a tight budget. The 4850 would be better than any of these choices, but costs more.

I agree with this 100 % as I have bought the discount midrange cards (BB and CC)when they came out and were only able to meet min. requirements of current games out ,I am talking low settings. When next round of graphic intense games came out it wouldnt meet specs or shaders.I came to the conclusion that If the video card is only good for a couple of months it really isnt that good a deal regardless of the discount.Better off getting a good bit better so you can squeeze a couple years at least out of it.I dont buy midrange cards anymore because of this.

You could argue that an 8600/9500GT are budget cards, and even the 8800GT is mid-range now. But yea, if you're "saving" $30 on a card but it can't play half as well as a better card, you're not really saving.

Danda, it's not a huge thing...hopefully you'll send the card back and get hooked up with the better card soon. Then this will all be behind you. ;)

Thanks ^^

I come to find out from my comerades that:

I paid with my Debt card, and he said that if I paid N.E. with my Debt that I can send it back and I can still have the $80 on my card.

So once I send back the Video card I can buy the Graphics card from lovely? and this will all be a funny story in the end right? ^^;

Personally....I would make my goal an 8800GT if I were in your shoes. Here is an eVGA 8800GT superclock for $120 after rebate, I actually just set up SLI in a work friend's computer with a pair of these. Very nice card for the price

This is what I said....the 8800 GT is what you should be looking for. You'll be much better off with the 8800 than either of the two other cards discussed. Just e-mail or call Newegg and they will tell you exactly what to do. The best customer service in the online retailer industry.

I have just spoken to a New Egg Employee and this si what She said

1:49:50 PM Jovanni
Hello how are you doing?
1:50:05 PM Alma
Hello.
1:50:08 PM Alma
Fine, thank you.
1:50:10 PM Alma
How about yourself?
1:50:20 PM Jovanni
Well, I am in need to assistance
1:51:18 PM Alma
Sure.
1:51:26 PM Jovanni
I have bought something from newegg yesterday, but I did not want the item. I wanted to change the order, but unfortinuely I the package has already been sent
1:53:15 PM Alma
You will need to refuse the delivery of the package. Once it is received by the warehouse, the return will be processed and a refund will be issued.
1:53:37 PM Jovanni
How do I refuse the package?
1:54:05 PM Alma
Just let the shipping carrier know you wish to refuse it or 'return to sender'. They will know what to do from there.
1:54:40 PM Jovanni
Where can I find that 'return to sender'?
1:55:35 PM Alma
You will need to tell the shipping carrier that when they attempt delivery of the package.
1:55:52 PM Jovanni
Who do I contact to stop the shipment then?
1:57:00 PM Alma
You can contact UPS.
1:57:10 PM Alma
Their number is 800-742-5877.
1:57:16 PM Jovanni
Is it toll free?
1:57:24 PM Alma
Yes.
1:57:33 PM Jovanni
Alright, now another question is:
1:57:54 PM Alma
Sure.
1:58:14 PM Jovanni
Once I stop the item from getting to its destination, will I recive credit from my Debit card or from New Egg only?
2:00:00 PM Alma
The package must be received before we can process the return and issue a refund.
2:00:23 PM Jovanni
Thats I know, but will I recive credit from New egg or my Debit card?
2:00:29 PM Jovanni
That*
2:01:15 PM Jovanni
It will be posted back into the original method of payment.
2:01:30 PM Jovanni
So into my Debt Card?
2:01:55 PM Alma
That is correct.
2:02:06 PM Jovanni
Oh perfect
2:02:22 PM Jovanni
Thank you soo much for helping me today
2:02:35 PM Alma
No problem. Is there anything else I can assist you with at this time?
2:02:51 PM Jovanni
I think that is it, thank you for your time.

Yup, agreed. Newegg is the best online retailer i have ever dealt with... cant say that about tiger direct/compusa(same company) though, their customer service sucks.
