I use my ATI video card so far because it is my favorite card. I am wondering which is the best video card ATI or NVIDIA?

Well.. It all depends on what price range your going for. I won't see either "brand" is better than the other. It all depends on what you can spend, really.

I don't care about the prices. I just wanted to know which ATI or NVIDIA is the best video card.

Probably nVidia. The 8800 Ultra is the best on the market right now. Crossfired 3870's can be pretty strong though. I think four of them in crossfire may be the best.

Nvidia is currently on top. ATI's most powerful card is the 3870, while Nvidia's is the 8800ultra. Nvidia's best price for performance card is the 8800gt, with ATI's being the same as above.

It's a sapphire, good brand.. You bet, if you're referring to ATI. The 8800gt is just $20 bucks more with an estimated 15% better performance.

For ATI, yes. Its competitor is the 8800GT.

Its a great card, after a week of deciding, i decided on it over the GT for many reasons.

Yes it would.

Now, if you want to know what the best of the best is, it is 3 x 8800 Ultra's on tri way SLI.

Yep, PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1. How old is your motherboard? Just to make sure it isn't PCI-E 1.0 or PCI-E 1.0a.

It's backwards compatible with 1.0 and 1.0(a) too, I believe. Just possibly not all. The wikipedia states otherwise, but the person who altered it could very well be wrong, as everywhere else states otherwise, including the special interest group behind PCI.. it's a Confusing mess.
