Which Macbook?

I know each macbook has their perks:

The Macbook air uses flash memory, It's so friggin small, but small amounts of memory and only a 1.4-1.6 ghz processor.

The macbook pro boasts the biggest screen, a Thunderbolt port, and the 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 processor; but it's the most expensive.

And the macbook, 2.4-2.66 ghz processor, 250-500 gb of storage, but the thickest of the three.

Which one would you get?

What do you plan to use the Mac for?

Are you a surfer?
Gamer?
Programmer?
Musician?
Graphics/Photography?

Depending on what you use the machine for will determine your best device.

Pretty Much everything but graphics and photography,....but surfing and programming have become my top two as of the past 3 days :D I would game though, but lower requirement games like Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands.

In your case I'd get either the base model MBP or the macbook. Team fortress 2 is free now.

I would go with the MBP, The regular Macbook is a rip off, Apple has not updated the Hardware in that thing for about a year to year and a half and it has only droppped like $60 when Apple's cost to build it had probably droppped by 50%.

Not to mention you want to have something that is not completely out of date and the Macbook is still using the Core Duo cpu which by today standerds is just garabage.

Hey, not garbage, they're still decent processors. It's just they're the same ones that were shipping with laptops 2 years ago.

this purchase won't happen anytime soon, probably in One or two years, a.k.a as soon as I can get a working permit :D

Yay 100th post :D

In that case why bother post? unless you wanted to reach 100 post. quit spamming the forums

Why would it matter weather I had 100 posts or not? I was just seeing which one's worth buying and which ones not.

Who knows what the MBP and MB will be in a year or two. And also the MBA and MB(P) are two completely different types of laptops. the MBA is built for mobility. It has slower ULV processors and uses SSD. The MB(P) on the other hand is more of a main stream laptop designed for power users.

And don't get the regular Macbook. It's only a tiny bit cheaper and doesn't have the class of a MBP.

there seems to be a difference between SSD and Flash NAND memory

For the price those CPU is garabge with what you pay. The "i" series is so much better and with the drop in cost over the two years Apple could put a i3 in there and not change the price one bit.

Apple just know's there user base are idiot's and would pay that much for a computer that cost them literally nothing to build cause there user base doesn't know the difference in hardware and the build cost, this is obvious that Apple Users are generally stupid (not calling anyone out) cause the product is still selling!

I only have a macbook pro atm and to be perfectly honest i dont see any issues with them i use it for everything playing games, watching movies, streaming
i have the 14" version so it nice and portable but still has the power and graphic to play games

By 14" I hope you meant 13" or 15" because Apple doesn't make any 14" laptops.

Hey, I wasn't defending the price, I agree, I would never pay that. I was just defending my own laptop, lol.

Lol, The CPU is fine if the price is right. I am saying for $999 I better get at least a i5 but with Apple you could only hope for a i3 at that price considering if you want dedicated graphics card from Apple in a laptop mininum expected to pay is $1800.

They may be quality built and OSX MAY be better then Windows but in the end I would never pay there prices for such low hardware.
