Who has 2gig ram + and what do u do with it?

you must not do too much gaming :P
Oblivion loves hogging the 499mb in my pc that vista doesen't use.
many modern or high detail games will try to make use of ALL available memory.

trust me, having 2 gigs (or more) IS worth it in gaming.
when i went from 256mb ram to 2gb ram in my old gaming pc, i saw my fps jump from 10 to 50 in many games.
then when i replaced the 64mb GeForce 2 with a 256mb GeForce FX 5600, my fps only jumped another 10.
i felt like i wasted money upgrading the video card.

LOL, I was laughing so hard when i read the title of this thread. i would want more ram, I have 2GB of DDR2 800 RAm at the moment, and ALL of it gets used when i play Supreme Commander on Max settings. Games are a HUGE RAM hog, plus programs such as video converters and Photoshop CS. Those are really big RAM hoggers too, especially when you edit or work with a really high resolution picture in Photoshop CS, takes up heaps. Oh yeah, Vista is a huge resource hog too.

so i'm going to upgrade my 1gb ram to 4gb soon. then vista and the games should be happy as can be for a while.

scratch that. i just got two 2gb sticks from newegg and it should come tomarrow.
i'll have a nice 5gb for gaming and vista :)

I've got 2gb dual channel ddr400 ram in my machine - I'm running Vista Ultimate, which tends to be a bit of a ram hog. I also do some photo editing and gaming - and lotsa ram always helps with both of those :)

2GB is very useful for video editing, and even gaming. Even BF2 will not run comfortably on max settings without at least 1.5GB of RAM.

zaroba, your main problem is your GPU. A 7600GS is a budget card. If you want great FPS at high settings, upgrade your GPU before upgrading your RAM.
