Wierd Connection Problem

I'm hoping I can give enough information to solve this problem, b/c it has be confused.
My mom has a Dell computer, which we recently moved out of the house, and into an apartment. She has a Linksys, WMP11 - Wireless-B PCI Adapter in her desktop. She also has a plug on her motherboard that I could cable into the wall if we didn't need wireless.
The wierd thing is, that whether I try to connect wirelessly, or cabled to the wall, when I go under 'network connections', i dont see any connections. I used to see 3... 2 for ports on the motherboard, and 1 wireless. Now I dont see any.

So I cant connect wirelessly or cabled into the wall. I went under the Wireless-B Adapter's Utility, and it said that it's "inactive", but there is no option to activate or fix.

Any suggestions? I hope I've given enough info to fix the problem, b/c this is all I know... I cant really call Time Warner's Road Runner (internet provider), Linksys, or Dell, b/c I dont know who the issue is with.

Thanks in advance,
Taylor

Right click network properties, and select properties. This will show all the available connections you speak of. Right click each one and enable.

Thats the problem though... When I do that, I dont see any connections. A week ago, before the move, I had 3. Now none show up when I try that. Any ideas why?
