So I recently got a new rig and its been freezing at times, first i thought it was my expired windows xp then i upgraded to windows 7 pro and still problems occur. What i have been experiencing is sometimes when i boot my system the part where it gives me motherboard information it loads really slow, then it goes to the windows 7 logo with the rainbow stuff coming in, the rainbow stuff sometimes takes a couple minutes to appear, then another thing is when it gives me the prompt to put in my password for my user it freezes but i can still move the mouse. Then in my actual user windows sometimes some application would take forever to load even though i have a solid state drive, for example google chrome would take forever to load then i would push cntrl alt delete and that would take a good couple mintues to actually pop up. Ill tell you my specs and my settings in bios
CPU: intel i7 2600k stock
Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM (my bios defaulty set up it as regular at timings i think 9 or 10, so i had to put profile1 to get better timings)
Hardrive: Corsair force 3 120gb SSD ( I updated it to the recent firmware)
Motherboard:Gigabyte z68xp-UD4 ( i set up AHCI for the SSD)
Graphics card: Geforce gtx 570 superclocked.
