Windows Logo message on Samsung 206BW

I just got a Samsung SyncMaster 206BW, and I tried to install the drivers from the disc that came with it, and everytime I start my computer I get a message that says something to the effect of "did not pass Windows Logo testing" and there are two buttons "Continue Anyway" or "Stop installation". I always click "Continue Anyway" then another box pops up that says FILES NEEDED "The file 'SM206BW.icm' on Samsung Monitor installation disc is needed" then I put the disc in and choose that drive, and I still get an error message that says "the driver was not installed properly".

Has anyone seen this with their Samsung monitor? The monitor works perfectly fine, but EVERYTIME we restart the computer, this message comes up. It's rather annoying. I tried to install the driver from their website and I get the same messages.

I was told by someone at Samsung that we didn't even need to install the driver from the disc (which I didn't know at the time so I tried in to install it as I always have done with new hardware).

Any suggestions on how to get rid of this display message? Thanks!

Hey, I got this same monitor only a couple of days ago but I didn't have the problems you're having. Are you sure you are unable to uninstall it? Because I didn't even bother installing the drivers..they aren't really even drivers, just more so tweaking programs that are utterly useless.

I tried to uninstall the driver from the Device Manager menu, and I still get the same message every time I start up my computer. I emailed the problem to Samsung and I'm waiting for them to get back to me (if that will ever happen  ). Is there somewhere else I can try to uninstall it?

I suspect I wouldn't have had this problem if I never tried to install the disc to begin with, but like I said, I thought I had to install from the disc. I didn't find out until afterwards, that I didn't need to. I'm guessing the computer thinks it needs to "finish" the install and it's missing something. But it's weird that that particular file it's asking for isn't available on the disc provided. It's just irritating to have that message pop up every time. Maybe Samsung will get back to me soon. . . .

Has anyone had this problem with this monitor? I'm thinking about returning it and getting another one if I can't figure this error message out. . . . Samsung has been unresponsive.
