I was taking a look at the so called "Future of Operating Systems" as Microsoft put it, and I came across there lastest OS, Longhorn.
Now Longhorn is supposed to be released in the early months of 2006. But it is going to really be the lastest OS or just another way of marketing Windows XP. The spec to run Longhorn is 512MB RAM, "Modern" CPU and a "Modern" Graphics processor.
As I was looking at a section entitled "More Effective At Home And Work", every single subtitle starts with "Beyond.....".
Read the section. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/longhorn/infomanagement.mspx
And a section entitled "Greater Confidence and Security"
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/longhorn/security.mspx
The Last section entitled "The Next Generation Platform"
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/longhorn/future.mspx
You guys have a look at tell me what you think.
Based on my previous experiances with Windows I think it's going to be a flop just XP was and SP2.
But then again I just plain dislike Microsoft
