ok i'm really starting to understand why some people hate dell.
Just then i've spent the past 20mins fixing mine.
I removed my dvd writer cos i was gonna use it somewhere esle,and when i boot i get error codes..WTF ? :mad:
it was my ram, so i removed 1 of them and booted, fine. no beeps, i shut down, removed the one inside and place the once i removed previously... BEEEEPS :mad: wow i thought my ram was fried, so i just left it there and used my laptop. after some time i just came back and re-sit both of them and the pc booted normally.

is this what i get for removing a simple dvd drive ?
one can only imagine :o :P:P
 
yeah, now you can see, cheep parts=malfunction on simple things.

Has there been a thread on if you like dell or hate dell... that would be a good visual prospective

yeah there is a dell thread i posted a few times in it, but back then i was for dell, i might be crossing the floor l.....:P

rofl. yeah i can see it. i mean dell is good i have to say for you know servers. very high end servers... i just dont see them too much in desktops and laptops.

i think they need to rethink there buisness plan. strick that recreat from scratch
 
most definetely. put away with proprietary boards that cost the same amount as an oem board, and give customers upgrade-ability

I don't understand what that statement meant....:confused: :confused: When you remove hardware from your computer and try to boot it up without the essential components like CPU, RAM then obviously its going to stop working, if you remove hardware and put it back properly, then nothing bad should happen, unless you stuffed something up.
 
It's mainly be due to extra configuration may be provided by DELL . i have never used it i prefer HP rather better than it.

haha Elitehacker don't put stress on yourself Blueplum never actually helps anyone
 
Why don't we all do away with prebuilt computers and build your own, you can save money as well as having more control over what goes into your computer. The stuff they put in these pre-built computers are just generic cheap stuff. The worse thing is, upgrading is a pain as some of them are not standard and uses some funny design unique to that company so you are forced to go back to them and pay inflated prices to upgrade. Custom build all the way man.
 
my friends dell monitor broke 3 times for the same reason. the power button broke off.

kinka uslelss if you cant turn it on :P

Not everyone has the time/energy/know-how/desire/care to do that. For them, pre-builts are the only way to go.

Yeah, he's one of our resident Trolls. Basically, whatever he says, just ignore him. He *might* have posted something wasn't complete garbage once or twice, but the majority of his Posts consist of what he Posted in this Thread. He seems to like giving folks bad advice and wrong info - I'm actually surprised he hasn't been banned yet.
