oh snap... thats not good. Get a good file recovery. I use Active File recovery. Thats if it starts to work. Anytime you drop a harddrive while its spinning its probably going to cause some damage. SMACK your friend for that one.

Yep, let it scan, it works great. You dont have to buy the thing though because it tells you the ones you need to download, and you can get it from the vendor sites. But I paid for a year subscription and I can download the driver straight from their site.

oh and I personally have never been able to charge any of my phones using a USB port.

Found it First get a good Anti-Virus I use and recommend Free avg anti-Virus Download it here: http://free.grisoft.com/ Then get a Firewall I recommend and use Zone Alarm pro, but the free version is good also and you can get it here...

The memory doesnt need to be in place, it would still beep. Same if you took the CPU out. Sounds like a bad MOBO to me. Sry :(
