Team fortress 2- scout update

I think theres a way to check how many people are on steam at once, and I think the most iv seen was like 250,000 people or so(in game). Im sure it can be higher. Yet im sure there's got to be more then 1mil accounts.

Wow I hoped that if I played Guitar Hero for an hour or so, I would get a nice surprise from the Scout Update. Nope.

Anyone know what's taking them so long?

...whats the 6th feature?
It still says "Coming Tuesday on the Page"

Ugh 50 minute download. I guess I might have to do homework today after all :(

EDIT: Lame, the Tuesday "Feature" is that its being released :(

Lol yeahhh, servers must be running like crazy. I can't wait to see the hours statistics on XFire for tomorrow lol.

I was hoping that they would make a payload race map. It looked like they had that type of map going on in the background of one of the release images. That would be so much fun, you guys play balloon race?

Has anyone else noticed that TF2 is only 10$ off steam? Great for anyone who wants to buy it.

Anyway I'm downloading the update now and looking at the update notes it says they've fixed the facestabs, spy's can now choose what weapon they look to be holding and see who's name they've taken.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are going to complain about that. In my opinion it's quite hard enough to keep track of who's definitely not an enemy spy and who might be as it is. We'll see how it works out in due time.

EDIT:
Just got all the items, the only one I see as being really usable is "The Sandman". The Force-A-Nature can be a great weapon if you just learn to use it, but because of the nature of the class it's going to be hard to make the shots count. The fact that you have to be in constant motion in order to avoid being killed makes it ineffective, but if you can get up and close it will be worth the sacrifice in accuracy. "'Bonk' Energy Drink" can prove to be valuable, but I wouldn't have it with me all the time, when there's a really tricky spot due to sentries.

I collected all the scout unlockables and the only one I really do fins useful is the 'Force-A-Nature' Which I have a hard time controlling.

The Energy Drink is cool and all, but I need the Pistol to pick off retreating players. Also fun for getting Snipers.

The SandMan sucks and its noobish to be honest. A Stun? Even effects an Uber? Come on now, Medic has been dodging Bullets for 1-2 full minutes and gets stunned by a Baseball? And Plus I need my double jump so I can live w/o it.

My Honest opinion though

TF2 seem's pretty popular?

It's cheap on steam, worth getting? the graphics draw me in somehow. Steam has the scout update aswell........ Im utter cr@p @ CSS so how would I do with TF2?

Even worth bothering? lol

I would buy it. The graphics are nice and it's way easier to get kills than in CSS. There's different classes too so if you're not doing too well you just play as a different class.

I'd recommend getting Team Fortress 2, it's a lot of fun. Though it can be a bit annoying after the Scout update, for example two scouts can pin you to the wall with the Force-A-Nature if they do it right. Basically you have no way of getting out of that situation as they shoot you up in the air at an angle from your sides.

With TF2 you require CSS basic skill to be really good, you need not that much to be able to play and survive. Because it is cartoony, not that accurate, it is really fun but also when you find a class that you can work with, it is great!!

It isn't all just running around and shooting, there aren't any classes even similar to what you do in CS.

Scout, run around as fast as you can and try to shoot people. Use your agility to your advantge.

Medic, You dont attack alot, instead get points from assists by healing people. uber charge is also really fun, makes an ally who you use it on invincible for a bit.

Spy, try to be...spy like, skulking around, trying not to be found out, using enemy medics to your advantage...then turning on em.

Heavy, lumber around with your massive gun, using your imba health and huge, rapid gun to your advantage.

Sniper...i dont need to say.

Engineer. Build a sentry gun and then let it do your bidding while you help others by making teleports for em and vendors, for allies and yourself.

It isn't just run around and face rape though, like most steam games, people have managed to cutomize the game types. There are your normal CTF, death match etc, but there are acchievement servers, which help you with acchievements on certain classes, zf, which is zombie...something, can't remember what the f stands for...but its zombies!!!

It is really fun and worth it. I got it about 3 weeks ago because 2 of my friends play it and i was thinking "hey, for £13 if i get a month play time out of it, this is a good buy" I got it with orange box, i already had portal because i love it so much so lost out a little with that, but still, i got tf2 and after 3 weeks i'm thinking that "month" could turn into "6 months, a year, 2 or 3 years" because of the class packs.

Id definitely recommend TF2.

It was fun to begin with and valve is doing an amazing job with the updates theyre releasing. Its easier to get into than counterstrike. It doesnt take as much skill to be decent at it but it has a lot of potential for players to become really good if they work/learn the game. The different classes are nice and makes teamwork crucial and keeps gameplay fresh. Its a ton of fun, especially if you can get on a team thats using voice chat and working together.

I have a few bits on ebay right now, with payments expected tomorrow, So I should hopefully be playing by tomorrow night :)
