New motherboard, still "no input"

damn, maybe your computer just doesnt like you :P

wait, when you tried the ram one slat at a time, did u try all the sticks or just one?

is this with the motherboard you just bought? if so, can i see a link to it?

ALSO: did you make sure the boot priorities in the bios are set to boot from the hdd first?

u might wanna do it just to make sure, its easy, just unplug the power cord and pop out the mobo battery for 30 seconds then put back in.

lol. your sure you have the +4 hooked up correctly? i didnt have it right once on an AMD board and it didnt want to start up.

Better not be.

I'm leaning towards it being the Bios. Seems a lot of people had memory problems due to the default Bios, but had no problems with the actual memory. Only problem is I don't have a different stick to try to see if thats it.

bios has been flashed and updated last year, to allow it to support 45nm quad cores. any memory issues in the bios would have been dealt with. in my experience, the board never ever failed to post, and always loaded the os just fine.

but maybe it was corrupted, he could always try. but honestly, it sounds like the cpu. if your previous board did this and we eliminated all the other stuff...
