I agree new fans, ram, windows cleanup makes much more sense than a new, oversized case and liquid cooler.

I'd wager with less noise, and better airflowing..plus a cleanup you'll be quite happy.

@Laquer Head It looks really nice...But I'm gonna have to go for a skinnier one. You should have seen me struggling with regular fans when I first made my PC....

@johnb35 Ok ok sounds like a good plan. But why a fresh copy of windows and latest drivers? What do you mean by that? But yeah I guess I can do all that.
Power supply is Corsair CX600 https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CX60...d=1483467171&sr=1-2&keywords=power+supply+600

Ohhh but I could put it on the back side I see...still seems too thick

Cause after time, windows will become corrupt unless you know how to keep it clean and malware free. How long has it been since windows was installed? If its been more then a couple years then its time for a fresh install. What bios revision is installed on the motherboard?

It would fit, I had one in a Corsair 230T mid tower and it looks bigger than it ends up being.. nice being able to place it on rear of case too.. leave your front open to install a pair of 120mm high airflow fans!!

@johnb35 Well it's only been a year. So like restart it? Wouldn't that take away most of my data and game installs? And I don't really know what the bios is...is it like MSI BIOS 2.8?

@Laquer Head OK makes sense. But it's still a little expensive for what it is in my opinion. Might as well get a smaller one for $60. Also, what other fans do you recommend?

Huh. Ok. Well what do I look up to find instructions on how to do so? @johnb35

@voyagerfan99 Yeah but don't I have to back up and reinstall everything?
Basically what we are trying to help you with is getting your machine back to a factory-fresh state (reformatting) so that you have a clean slate to work from. You've been having issues, slowdowns, and just overall unsatisfactory performance.

One of the best ways to remove issues and start over is to download Windows .iso from the microsoft site. Copy that to a USB flash drive. Then you can reboot and load from that USB and fresh install windows to your hard drive.

Yes, this process wipes everything out, so backing up your core data (music, movies, pics,..etc) is essential - but this is well worth the time and effort and will get you back to square one.

Ok...and that's perfectly fine buuut I have no idea how to back up everything and reinstall all my data. I don't want to mess it up either. So could you give me a way to finds instructions on how to do all of this? And should I do this at the same time as I pull out a lot of plugs and rearrange them?

If you have an external drive, that might be the easiest way for you.. just drag and drop whatever you dont wanna lose.

Not sure what you mean by plugs, but if you mean disassemble the machine at the same time...NO..

Take care of the backup first, do the windows install and then worry about cable management.

Ok...But wouldn't game saves take up a ton of space and take days to reinstall?

Yeah well if I disassemble the machine don't I have to backup everything again?

No, it won't take days.. and regardless, if you want to try to move forward, you're gonna have to make some sacrifices - mainly a bit of your personal time to get the job done..or pay someone to do it for you.

Before you do anything you backup your data,... once its backed up you just reinstall once your done with the other tasks.

What kind of data are you needing to transfer? Pictures, documents, and stuff like that you can just copy and paste to another drive. The easiest route is an external hard drive, something you'll be glad you have once you get one. Even just borrowing one from a friend for a day or two would work as long as it has enough space for everything. Applications and programs usually have to be reinstalled, although Steam games are easy to backup if you need to to prevent the need to redownload everything.

Once you're all backed up just reinstall Windows (easier than you probably think), and move your stuff back over from the other drive.

What Windows version is this again?
