The polls can chance when the next generation of card come out though.

If you really care about getting value for your money and performance, Nvidia is the way to go, at the moment at least. It might ALL change when X2K comes out from Ati.
That's a professional card though. Desktop cards with 1GB aren't too far off but no one will need that much video memory for a while.

I've had a 5500fx 6600 6800 ultra and now radeon 1650pro. the 1650pro is cheaper compared to its nvidia rival 7600gt and its got the same performance more or less. nvidia cant do HDR and AA whereas ATI can.
The tell tale sign of somebody that is either A. lying or B. Not knowing what they are talking about
but seriously when is the 8600 coming out!?!?!?!?!?!??!
I guess you must have hit a bad batch there, I don't think ALL ati cards are manufactured faulty, its just that their chips are overpriced and under-performing at the moment.
ok, let's be serious, if you think ati's cards are overpriced, nvidia's cards are overpriced as well. the comparable cards from each manufacturer have similar price tags and offer similar performance.I agree, the whole card is overpriced, The only way I would buy one of there cards was if it's a DX10 card, or it was used, and cheap. I'll stick with Nvidia for right now.
