Actually, I'm only using one card. But we're off topic and I just ordered an 8800gtx
Desktops today can't use more than 4GB (sometimes 3GB), so 8GB wouldn't even make sense. And I don't think you can get regular desktop DIMMs that come in that density.
i suppose i could use SLI, but they recommend that you get special RAM. that may be the way to go then.

You cannot run more than 1 monitor using SLI. And you don't need special ram, that's just advertising crap.
Umm... yah, no. My MOBO supports 8GB total, using 4 sticks of 2GB modules.
I'll bet that by the end of this year 4gb will be standard and 8gb optional. Any takers?

Umm....yah, no. Your motherboard might support it, but your operating system (Windows I'm assuming?) will not.
So no.
Actualy I think XP lets you use up to 16GB but I am not sure.
The 32 bit architecture of both the system and the OS restricts it.
