Why format? waste of time....You can reformat, reload and still have same problem. Try the cards individually as requested to determine if it is hardware or software issue. Personally I think it might be a heat problem.

Hook the speakers up and give it a try on your existing sound card, that is if your sound card is 5.1.... if not any 5.1 sound card should do since your speaker system will do the real work. Note: the sound system looks impressive for a PC and I'm sure you get good results from it.

I use to service computers years ago and you will be surprised as to what environments people live in.... I'm no talking inside the house but the outside environment which can impact greatly on the dwellings. You get to know after a while when visiting different locations.

If you care to understand PC power supplies your statement is flawed....have an understanding of the cheap ones and they can be lethal when electrical faults occur. The modern PWM type PSU's are completely different to the old style transformer PSU's As bigfella stated, AC to DC rectification...

Back this statement 100%, I would never trust a software program read out for testing electrical voltages.... go test your voltage with a decent multimeter under load.
