    iE help

First, what version of Windows and IE are you running? If you're on XP, make sure you have IE8, which has tabs. If you're on Vista or 7, get the IE9 beta, which is a huge improvement over IE8 and should work much better for you. Or, you could do like they suggested and switch browsers. Firefox...

    The New Rig! :P

Looks like a solid rig, congrats :good: Don't pay much attention to the experience index thing...5.9 is about as high as conventional hard drives go. Even 10K RPM drives don't do a whole lot better. That doesn't mean the drive you've got now is slow, by any means.

Which of these 2 RAM/Memories should I buy?

Simple fact, brah...Crucial kits never overclock particularly well because they aren't designed to. They're designed to work well at stock speeds, for a long time. And they do. Corsair has gotten into the enthusiast market more heavily, so the above isn't always the case even with budget-priced...

    Choosing the Right Case

+1 The XClio Blackhawk is the exact same chassis, and it's classified as a full tower.

Which of these 2 RAM/Memories should I buy?

Crucial tends to bin their RAM for stability, rather than overclocking. Corsair is usually a happy mix of the two, though they have some kits that clock very well. This obviously doesn't matter on laptops, though. I doubt you'll see a big difference in the two since you're running at stock speeds.

New to computer building. Budget gaming build?

Power supply is junk, motherboard could be better. You'd be better off geabbing a 955 if you want a Phenom II BE. The case is alright for the price, though. (not the best...NZXT Gamma/Beta EVO is about as good as it gets for $40) You still lack RAM and your drives, unless you're re-using...

    Return my sandy bridge?

The bug doesn't affect the sata 6gb/s ports, and many motherboards have an extra two 6gb/s ports on a Marvell controller. As long as you use those instead of the 3gb/s ones, this won't affect you at all. It's not even a definite defect in all boards anyway...some of them aren't affected at all.

    I need some advice..

Hold on bro...you need to learn a bit about this thing. 1- The CPU down-clocking itself is normal. It's a power saving technique. 2- Those temperatures are perfectly fine. The CPU is a bit on the warm side, but you can't expect much from a stock cooler. (That's 45C and 26.6C, for anyone too...

    Windows 7 - 1 copy 2 computers?

Awesome, check with your school then...it's very likely that you can get a free copy through MSDNAA: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/academic/default.aspx There are a couple of other places to get it as well. It's $65, not $60 like I thought, but MS gives a discount on it (and some free music)...

Desperately Need a New Computer, ~$2000

2500K + GTX 570 + 2x4GB RAM + P67 mobo (one with an NF200 chip) would be the most balanced, cost effective, and "future proof" setup IMO. Probably a 1KW-ish PSU. That'll allow for you to add at least two more 570's and a faster CPU without needing to upgrade anything else. Drop the nf200 and...

    Windows 7 - 1 copy 2 computers?

I think maybe he was saying thank god you don't have a separate computer (meaning a separate license) on each one...? Nice setup, dude. Your cat is cute as well! :) Are you by chance a college student? Sometimes you can get a copy for free through them. If not, you can at least get...

    PSU good price good wattage

Easily. Look for Seasonic or Antec, though...they're really the only companies that have good units in that range, or at least the only widely available ones. Also, look at a 5670 or even a 5570 over a 4670. The price shouldn't be too much different, and in addition to supporting DX11, both are...

    1075T X6 vs 970 X4?

^ I'm in the same boat, I think my 635 will probably hit ~3.5 or so if I really try, but I've yet to see anything that requires more than stock speeds. I've had it stable enough for a super pi 1m run at 3.9, though...definitely a good chip for a C2 athlon.

    1075T X6 vs 970 X4?

Actually, the 970/975 can do a little better than the 955. I'm not sure it's enough to be worth the price difference, though.

    $325 BASIC Computer

Regardless of their reliability, hitachi drives are slow compared to wd black or samsung f3 drives, and are a decent way behind 7200.12's. 7200.11's had an issue or six with their firmware. They have a habit of bricking themselves. New firmware updates have helped, but haven't really fixed it.

    $325 BASIC Computer

I don't understand the hate on AMD? You'd get more power for roughly the same price...? With a 785G board it would even function well as an HTPC. The atom? Not so much. The atom setup will be less reliable (mobile platform), less powerful, and will be "out of date" a lot sooner due to the lack...
