    FS Sapphire 3870 512mb

hmm if nobody buys it from you I might as well pick it up. I just ordered another PC&P PSU for my E8500 build today, but if you still have it the friday (my next payday) after next I'll pick up the HD3870 from you. I'm sure it will eventually come in handy.

AMD - vs Intel - question

I almost bought that triple core for a budget system, but ended up finding an E850/mobo/ram for cheap. I think the triple core is an excellent value and will not leave you disappointed.

So I decided to build another LGA775 system: E8500

The XP installation was actually on the hard drive that I used for my P45 setup I had a while back with a Gigabyte board. I installed windows 7 RC1 on it just recently to see how it works. and yeah, it's a POS due to the crappy case and cheap PSU. My i7 is running a nice Antec case with a...

So I decided to build another LGA775 system: E8500

yes. I'm going to wait until I get a better CPU cooler before I explore the limits of the CPU. So far 4.5 GHz is what I would call the "safe" limit for posting and booting into windows without the temps getting too high for my taste. At the current settings on 4.0, the rig will Wprime for a...

    gaming mobo $250 or less

my results from the P6T are in my sig. The Gigabyte EX58-UD3R seems to perform the same. I prefer the P6T since it has 3 PCI Express 2.0 slots.

    gaming mobo $250 or less

you can get better ram for a cheaper price, though. If you have any questions about the ASUS P6T I currently have it in my i7 right now. (and I'm not scared to push its limits either)

    i7 Mobo's Gigabyte vs ASUS

I have used the P6T and the EX58-UD3R both on my rig, and either is fine with me. The UD5 and the Deluxe are higher end X69 boards, so I have no personal experience with those. If I had to guess I would say they are about the same in terms of quality, etc...
