    Ram trouble computer wont boot

Are you sure you put the new stick, by itself, in the proper slot? If so, it looks like you got a bad stick. :(

    Ram problems

You should try removing the second stick and test again, unless you know which stick was giving errors...or were both giving errors? I would try testing one stick at a time in the first designated slot and go from there.

Nah, you don't need a bunch of tools. Just a phillips, like you said, small pliers for the stand offs, and lots of zip ties.

    Where shall I start?

Those temps seem high for just sitting in the BIOS, although probably not high enough to shut down the CPU. Windows could be corrupt. Have you tried reinstalling? If you need to backup your data, put the hard drive into another computer and copy/paste stuff you want saved.

    $400 Build

Ok, so the PSU had a 4+4 CPU plug, thankfully, so no worries there. The motherboard plug was also 20+4. Yay. Bummer, I couldn't get the other 2 cores unlocked. I'm thinking lack of the "Hybrid" option in the BIOS.? I tried ACC plus every other option I could think of, and every option I...

That Hyper 212 looks sweet, Drenlin. Looks like my Noctua, but with a joke of a price tag. Excellent, especially if it works well. :good: Yes, you'll need to apply Thermal Compound to the aftermarket CPU cooler. The method is debatable, but I use the method you stated. (single drop, let...

Most will agree, that's the best air cooler you can get. The fans are for the cooler. Only the top skin is Stainless. You said you wanted something better... that you can overclock. You current cpu is only Dual Core, and you could easily get the i5 750 that high.

Building a New Computer $1000+/- range

Absolutely. As unlikely as it may be, if a PSU goes out, it can take other components with it. You couldn't go wrong with a Corsair TX or HX unit. CORSAIR 650TX $89.99 I just looked at your current computer...any specific reason for going away from Intel? I could throw together a pretty...
