I use VLC, WMP 11 or Power DVD, i got Power DVD portable and the full version, very nice :)

If you going to be gaming, you going to need a system that runs vista nicely..... and you will need vista... Also i recommend Intel, overclock it and get more out of your CPU. Also that graphics card won't be good for gaming... and you have a very tight budget.....

OK, sounds like it is a workgroup problem, i had the same problem. This is how you change the workgroup on the XP machine This is how you change the Workgroup on the Vista machine Make sure they are the same, for example "Home" then that, hopefully should work.

If your going to be gaming, i suggest you stay wired, more secure and faster, i notice the difference just surfing the net, i have a router in my room and when i'm on wireless i can notice the difference.

Could be a Vista Business Problem..... I know someone else who has the buisness version, i'll ask them.... and see if they have the same problem....
